American College – Cyprus
American College is a private institution of higher education committed to meeting the educational and professional needs of its students. Academic Year and Admission Intakes
American College follows the semester system of higher education. The academic year consists of two semesters, the Fall Semester (approximately starting in the beginning of October and finishing in the end of January) and the Spring Semester (approximately starting in the beginning of February and finishing in the beginning of June). A shorter but more intensive Summer Session is also offered in the middle of June and finishing in the end of July. Finally, a Summer English language Session is also offered in the middle of June and finishing in the end of August. New students can join the College in the Fall (beginning of October) or Spring semester (beginning of February) or Summer session (middle of June) to study regular courses or English language preparatory courses)

The Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture is responsible for the registration of academic institutions that offer higher education in Cyprus. Such institutions are only registered provided they have met and fulfilled a number of criteria. The academic institutions which are registered with the Ministry are inspected and examined by the Ministry's officials on a regular basis. These institutions are also governed by the articles of the relevant law of the Republic of Cyprus.

ENGLISH TAUGHT UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
Romanian-American University is offering two undergraduate programs, fully taught in English, one focused on International Business and the other one on Computer Science for Economics.
All programs are fully accredited by the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS), which is a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA)
All the study programs developed by the Romanian-American University are structured under the Bologna system in 3 years for the undergraduate (Bachelor), 2 years for the graduate studies (Master) and 3 years for Doctoral Studies.
Each academic year (divided into 2 semesters), the curriculum provides minimum 60 transferable study credits (30 credits per semester). There are a total of six semesters in three years. A semester typically has 14 weeks. The 3rd semester has 11 weeks + 3 allocated for the mandatory internship, and the 6th semester has 12 weeks + 2 allocated for completion of the graduation paper. Thus, in the first three semesters, regardless of the curriculum, students study a set of subjects that are present in the basic training of an economist:
